What is in-browser Kali Linux?
In-browser Kali is a HTML5 client that allows users to access a full Kali Linux machine via the web browser. This allows users to access Proving Grounds challenges within the web browser without the need for virtual machines or VPNs.
Can I use both VPN and in-browser at the same time?
In-browser access acts as an alternative to the VPN connection. Because of this, Proving Grounds does not allow you to use the VPN connection at the same time as the in-browser access.
Do I need a subscription to use in-browser Kali Linux?
No, a subscription is not required. "Connect through Kali" will be the default connection method after signing into the Offsec Platform.
Do I need a VPN connection to launch the Kali Linux machine and/or the target machine?
No VPN required! The in-browser Kali Linux Machine is located on the internal network alongside any Proving Ground challenge boxes you start up. This means that a VPN is not required to access the target machines.
