How long is the exam?
The OSTH is an 8 hour exam. The exam report will need to be submitted 24 hours post exam.
Is the exam proctored?
Yes, the OSTH exam is proctored.
Can I access the course materials while taking the exam?
Yes, exams are built to be practical in nature so we are not prohibiting the use of the Course material during the exam.
Can I navigate to other pages in the Learning Library while taking the exam?
Yes, if you need to navigate to a different page during the exam, you can close the exam by clicking the Close exam button at the top right.
Closing the exam will not pause the timer or submit your exam, and you can navigate back to the page once you’re ready to continue with the exam labs.
Can I use Discord during the exam?
While you may use Discord as a resource for searching for information during the exam, under no circumstances are you permitted to seek or receive assistance from others on the platform. This includes but is not limited to, asking for help, sharing exam-related information, or discussing any aspect of the exam with others.

To claim your certificate, please go through the following steps:
- Log into the Offsec Learning Library.
- From the left navigation, click ‘Achievements’.
- On the ‘Certifications’ section click on the OSTH tile and you will be redirected to Accredible.
How many OSTHs are there? What is the pass/fail rate?
We do not release the number of people that hold our certifications or the success rate of completion for them. The exam-taking experience and perceived difficulty is different for everyone and we don't want to needlessly discourage or encourage learners with numbers based on success or failure.
