Your guided journey through PEN‑200, powered by OffSec mentors.
What is HackTrack with Mentors?
HackTrack with Mentors is a 6-month cohort-based support program for PEN‑200 learners. Each week, you'll join a live session led by OffSec Student Mentors, diving into critical PEN‑200 topics, asking questions in real-time, and reinforcing your learning with peers.
It’s designed to help you sharpen your skills and be guided every step of your PEN-200 journey, with direct OffSec mentor support, a clear learning path, and the energy to keep you motivated and moving toward OSCP success.
How It Works
- Register to Join – To participate, you must first register using our Google Form. We will select the first 200 active PEN‑200 learners to join the initial cohort. After this first batch completes the program, the next 200 learners from the registration list will be invited to join the following cohort.
- Weekly live mentor-led sessions – Cover one PEN‑200 topic per session. Sessions run every Saturday at 16:00 GMT and last 1 to 1.5 hours, giving you time to learn, interact, and ask questions in real time.
- Real-time Q&A – Bring your questions and challenges during each session and get immediate support. All Q&As are compiled and shared via email after the session to help reinforce your learning.
- Recordings – Recordings will be uploaded to the OffSec Learning Platform within 2 weeks of the live session. You can locate them under OSA-PEN-200 → Syllabus → Video.
- Career support modules – In the last leg of the program, our sessions cover job preparation, resume building, and interview practice, giving you the tools and confidence to take the next step in your cybersecurity career.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who can register to join?
All PEN‑200 learners with active subscriptions are welcome to register.
How do I know if I’ve been selected for the batch?
We select the first 200 PEN‑200 learners with active subscriptions who register for each cohort. If you're part of the selected group, you will receive a welcome email with all the details. If you’re not included in the first batch, no worries! You will automatically be considered for the next cohort of 200 learners once it launches.
When are the sessions, and how will I receive the invite?
Live sessions are held every Saturday at 12 PM ET / 16:00 GMT via Zoom. Calendar invitations will be sent 3–5 days in advance to the email address you provided during registration. Please ensure your email is active and accurate to receive session details. Kindly respond to the calendar invite at least 2 days before the session to confirm your attendance.
If you’re unable to attend, your slot will be offered to another interested learner for that week only, it won’t affect your participation in future sessions.
Is attendance mandatory?
No. However, you’re encouraged to join consistently for the best experience, but it’s flexible. You can still benefit from watching the recordings. It might also be worth noting that attending live sessions may count toward CPE credits.
What if I’m unable to attend a session due to a last-minute commitment?
No problem! All sessions are recorded and will be uploaded to the OSA Library on the OffSec Learning Platform within 2 weeks.
Is this a replacement for the PEN‑200 course content?
Not at all. HackTrack with Mentors enhances your PEN‑200 experience by providing structure, live support, and community engagement.
Do I receive a certificate for completing the program?
No, but we’re looking into future ways to recognize learners who participate regularly.
Is this the same as the OffSec Academy training?
It's similar in mentorship style but tailored differently. HackTrack sessions are weekly, focused, and include career prep topics near the end of the program.
Who should I contact if I can’t join on time or run into Zoom issues?
Message YangYang on Discord or email community@offsec.com for assistance.
I have questions after the session. Where should I ask them?
As sessions align with the PEN‑200 course modules, you are encouraged to post your questions in the PEN‑200 course channels on Discord, where available OffSec Student Mentor can assist you.
Can I join even if I’m still early in the course or haven’t started yet?
Yes, you can. Whether you’ve just begun or haven’t started the course yet, each session offers valuable insights, guidance, and motivation to help you move forward.
Will I be doing hands-on labs during the session?
Sessions are walkthrough-style, so you’ll see techniques demoed live. You’re encouraged to follow along and replicate the exercises in your lab afterward.
Will there be career support?
Yes! Toward the end of the program, we’ll have dedicated sessions on resume building, job hunting, and interview prep.
Will this program be available for other courses in the future?
For now, HackTrack with Mentors is focused on supporting PEN‑200 learners. We’re actively exploring opportunities to expand this program to other OffSec courses in the future. Once we’re ready to launch additional tracks, we’ll be sure to announce it to the community.
