What are the differences between Proving Grounds Play and Proving Grounds Practice?
Both PG Play and PG Practice are accessed via the PG control panel. This means you will have access to the same features. However, PG Play machines are generated by the VulnHub community while PG Practice machines are created by OffSec experts.
You also have a 3 hour daily limit for PG Play machine access, while PG Practice allows unlimited access to all machines. In both PG Play and Practice, you will have access to your own machine with no one else to interfere with you.
You may access any of the machines in PG Play as long as you have not exceeded your daily 3 hour time limit. If you have subscribed to PG Practice, you may access any of the PG Play and Practice machines.
For more information on the differences between the two labs, please visit our PG labs page.
Will you add new machines regularly to PG Play and PG Practice?
New machines will be added every month to PG Play and PG Practice. We welcome and encourage you to come to play and practice on new machines every month!
Will Offsec be releasing any other resources such as challenges?
We plan to regularly add new content to the PG Play and Practice platform, beyond the VulnHub community and OffSec-designed machines. However, we do not yet have a specific date for the addition of other types of content.
