General Requirements
To participate in live classes through the OffSec Portal, learners must meet the following requirements:
Networking Requirements for the Venue
- Dedicated to the room high speed internet connection with at least 30 mbps
- The network settings/firewall must allow all students to concurrently connect to the LMS and VPN server
Room Requirements for the Venue
- The room size must accommodate the number of students comfortably, with space for the trainers to walk around and assist as needed
- The room must be private, i.e. no areas where the public are walking through.
- Depending on the size of the room we need at least 1 projector and screen. Each student must be able to see the screen clearly in order to follow along with the class. (incl. additional screens, etc if needed)
- 2 tables or desks up front for the trainers to set up their equipment with
- Ample electrical outlets for trainers and students
- An outlet or extension cord should be provided for each student workstation
- At least one clip-on microphone in case needed
- Our trainers prefer to visit the classroom the day before training to review the room set-up and network. This takes about 1-2 hours based on the readiness of the room.
- Hours for visiting the rooms should not be at night or after hours since instructors will need rest to kickoff the training next-day , also on the day of training instructors should be able to walk into the room around 1 hour before the actual training start hour to setup everything and wait for students."
- It would be preferable if there was a front desk with a sign-up sheet with the names of the students registered for the course so the trainers don’t need to take attendance. This is not required, but it’s helpful.
