Why should I renew my Learn One subscription?

A Learn One subscription renewal offers learning flexibility, as well as access to an array of the world’s best cyber security training. Flexibility to continue with your existing studies, maintaining your learning history and/or allowing you to choose from a variety of learning options - while ensuring you have 2 main course exam attempts to meet your certification goals.  With a Learn One renewal you may continue with your current main course curriculum or choose from a variety of other course options (PEN-200, WEB-200, SOC-200 or a 300 level course including PEN-300, EXP-301, EXP-312, or WEB-300) - continuing unlimited practice in our world-class course and PG Play & Practice lab environments during your subscription period.

A Learn One subscription renewal also offers access to some of the latest OffSec course releases, topic labs, challenge machines, and assessment/badges - with new content added monthly.  And for those looking to continue bolstering their skill-set, the Learn One renewal provides unlimited access to OffSec’s growing library of fundamental content and topics (PEN, WEB, SOC, CLD, EXP and SSD with more to come in 2023).  Finally, a Learn One also provides the ability to enroll in PEN-103 (KLR), PEN-210 (WiFu), and earn the KLCP and OSWP certifications.

I have an exam attempt left, does it get transferred to the new subscription?

No, once your Learn One subscription is renewed, any unused exam attempt or main course material download from your previous subscription year will expire. 

If you already passed the KLCP and/or OSWP certification exam, you will not be able to retake the exams nor may these exam attempts be substituted for a main course exam attempt.

If I renew for another year of Learn One, can I change my main course?

Yes, once your payment for the next year of Learn One is complete, you will be able to select the main course for your new Learn One subscription via the Learning Library. Your Learn One access starts immediately after purchase.

How can I select the main course for my renewed Learn One subscription?

Once your payment for the renewal has been completed, you will receive a confirmation email from our system. Next time you log into the OffSec Learning Library, you will see a drop-down which allows you to select your preferred main course for the new Learn One subscription or you can navigate to the 'Buy More' page and simply choose your preferred course from the dropdown menu and click 'confirm' to proceed.

Note, to make the most of your subscription, we recommend you log into your OffSec Library as soon as you receive the email confirming the payment for the renewal was successful. The time on your subscription will run regardless if you selected your main course or not.

Can I select the same main course as in my previous year of Learn One?

Yes, if you wish to continue your studies on your initial main course, you may select the same main course from your previous Learn One subscription period.

Will my progress on the current course be kept when I renew?

Yes, the course materials and lab progress you made during your initial Learn One subscription period will not be lost when you renew or cancel your subscription. 

If I cancel my subscription and instead purchase the course and certification exam bundle version of the course, will I still be able to see the work I completed in the labs during my Learn One subscription?

Yes, regardless if you renew your Learn One subscription or purchase a course and certification exam bundle, all progress made on your OffSec courses will remain. 

I renewed my Learn One subscription with the same course as the previous year, can I switch to a different main course?

Yes, if you choose to renew your Learn One and continue your studies with the same main course chosen in the previous year, OffSec will allow you to make one new Learn One course choice and transition at any time during the renewed 12 month subscription period. 

Please note, regardless if you’ve chosen another main course during the 12 month subscription period, for any main course:

  • exam attempts used in a subscription period are limited to no more than 2 per subscription year
  • course download used in a subscription period is limited to no more than 1 per subscription year

To switch to a different main course in a subscription period, please submit the request to orders@offensive-security.com.

My Learn One subscription has been renewed. Can I receive a refund ?

Refunds are not available for subscriptions, regardless if they are first time purchases or have been auto-renewed. If you do not wish to renew your subscription, please make sure to cancel your subscription prior to the renewal date.

If you canceled your renewal subscription and the renewal date has passed, you can use the Buy More page of your Learning Library account to purchase a new course.

I renewed my subscription and selected a new main course, can I still access the materials for my old course?

No, once a new main course is selected under your Learn One subscription, access to the online course materials and labs for the previous subscription period’s main course will end.

I renewed my subscription and selected a new main course. Can I go back to my old course?

If you have chosen a new main course in the second year and have not completed the certification of the main course chosen in the immediate prior year, then OffSec will allow a one time reversion to the main course chosen in the prior subscription year.  However, once the one time reversion is completed, there may be no further main course changes during the subscription period unless the learner wishes to purchase an early renewal.

Please note, regardless if you’ve chosen another main course during the 12 month subscription period, any main course:

  • exam attempts used in a subscription period are limited to no more than 2 per subscription year
  • course download used in a subscription period is limited to no more than 1 per subscription year

To revert to the main course chosen in the immediately prior subscription period, please submit the request to orders@offensive-security.com.

I forgot to download the materials for my initial Learn One course, can I download them after renewing my Learn One subscription?

No, once online access to a course has ended, the downloadable course materials can no longer be generated by our system. 

Please note that any main course download used in a subscription period is limited to no more than 1 per subscription year, regardless if you’ve chosen another main course during the 12 month subscription period.

Can I purchase a 30-day lab extension for my main Learn One course instead of renewing my subscription?

No, the 30-day lab extensions are only available for learners who purchased the course and certification exam bundle. The 30-day lab extension may not be applied to Learn One subscriptions.

Can I use a different payment method for the renewal?

Yes, please make sure to update your credit card information prior to the renewal date.
