Program Overview

The OffSec Tiered Author Rewards Program is a strategic initiative aimed at fostering high-quality, consistent content submissions to the OffSec content library. This program rewards learner authors who repeatedly contribute approved Grimoire submissions, with progressively increasing bounty bonuses. Our goal is to accelerate growth in defensive content and cultivate a trusted pipeline of long-term contributors.
 

Effective August 2026, the Tiered Author Rewards Program accepts Grimoire submissions only. Machine (Attack/Defense)/ Regular submissions are no longer eligible for tier progression or bounty boosts under this program. Machines remain welcome through the standard UGC submission process and continue to qualify for their regular bounties.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligible Submissions:

• Grimoire submissions only
• Submissions must meet OffSec's quality standards and be approved through the standard review process

Eligible Authors:

• Learner Authors with at least one approved Grimoire

Tier Structure & Bounty Boosts

Note: Bonus bounty is applied only to the next Grimoire submission after the milestone is unlocked. Author continues progression (e.g., 6/10 after reaching Tier 1).

Bonus Credits Toward Tier Progression

To encourage roadmap-aligned and higher-quality contributions, some Grimoire submissions will count double toward tier progression:

• ✨ Wishlist Labs: Any Grimoire submission that directly addresses an active item from the regular UGC Wishlist will be counted as 2 submissions. This applies to standard Wishlist items only — Grimoires submitted against a promotional Wishlist (any Wishlist item already carrying its own promo bounty or bonus) will not be counted. 
• ✨ High-Quality Submissions: If a Grimoire submission is deemed exceptionally well-written, unique, or pedagogically strong by the UGC Review Team, it may count as 2 submissions. Submitting Hard and Insane difficulty Grimoire will also be counted as High-Quality submissions.

Contributor Communication

• Authors will be notified via email when they unlock a new tier.
• Bonus bounty payments will be communicated and processed upon the approval of the next qualifying Grimoire submission.

Program Guidelines & Conditions

• Bounty boosts apply only to Grimoire submissions that meet approval standards.
• Machine (Attack/Defense) / Regular submissions do not count toward tier progression and do not receive tier bounty boosts.
• Bonuses are non-stackable with other bounty-based reward promos.
• The program will not run concurrently with all existing incentives; bonuses cannot overlap on a single submission.

• Submission quality is always the baseline requirement. Quantity without quality will not qualify.

  Monthly Cycle:

  • The submission count starts fresh at the beginning of each month.
  • All approved Grimoire submissions during that month contribute toward the tier count.
  • The count resets automatically at the start of the next month, and the incentive begins again.
