Important: Two Separate Tier Systems

With the launch of the UGC Creator Platform, authors may encounter two different systems that use the word tier. They are independent of each other:

• Creator Platform Tiers — Determine your weekly or concurrent submission limits. Tier 3 also unlocks access to the private Wishlist. Some Wishlist topics may be reserved for Trusted Creators, which is a separate designation assigned by OffSec.
• Bounty Reward Tiers (this program) — Based on the number of qualifying approved Grimoire submissions you accumulate during the monthly program cycle. They determine the bounty bonus applied to your next qualifying Grimoire submission.

Progress in one system does not automatically change your standing in the other.

Program Overview

The OffSec Tiered Author Rewards Program is a strategic initiative aimed at fostering high-quality, consistent content submissions to the OffSec content library. This program rewards learner authors who repeatedly contribute approved Grimoire submissions, with progressively increasing bounty bonuses. Our goal is to accelerate growth in defensive content and cultivate a trusted pipeline of long-term contributors.
 

Effective August 2026, the Tiered Author Rewards Program accepts Grimoire submissions only. Machine (Attack/Defense) / Regular submissions are no longer eligible for tier progression or bounty boosts under this program. Machines remain welcome through the standard UGC submission process and continue to qualify for their regular bounties.

UGC submissions are created and tracked through the UGC Creator Platform in the OffSec Portal. Authors can use the Lab Creator Dashboard to view drafts, submissions under review, requested changes, rejected submissions, and approved labs.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligible Submissions:

• Grimoire submissions only
• Submissions must meet OffSec's quality standards and be approved through the standard review process.
• Submissions must be made through the UGC Creator Platform to count toward bounty reward tier progression.

Eligible Authors:

• Learner Authors with at least one approved Grimoire
• Authors must remain in good standing with the UGC program and comply with current submission requirements.

Bounty Reward Tier Structure & Bounty Boosts

The bounty reward tiers below are separate from Creator Platform tiers. Reaching a bounty reward tier does not change your Creator Platform tier, and vice versa.

Note: Bonus bounty is applied only to the next Grimoire submission after the milestone is unlocked. Progress toward the next milestone continues after the reward is applied. For example, an author continues at 6/10 after reaching Tier 1.

Bonus Credits Toward Tier Progression

To encourage roadmap-aligned and higher-quality contributions, some Grimoire submissions will count double toward bounty tier progression:

• ✨ Wishlist Labs: Any Grimoire submission that directly addresses an active item from the regular UGC Wishlist will be counted as 2 submissions toward progression. This applies to standard Wishlist items only. Grimoires submitted against a promotional Wishlist that already carries its own promo bounty or bonus will not receive this additional progression credit.
• ✨ High-Quality Submissions: If a Grimoire submission is deemed exceptionally well-written, unique, or pedagogically strong by the UGC Review Team, it may count as 2 submissions. Submitting Hard and Insane difficulty Grimoire will also be counted as High-Quality submissions.

UGC Wishlist

The UGC Wishlist is available through the Creator Platform, where authors can browse available topics and review details such as the topic description, difficulty, and bounty.

Most Wishlist topics are open to all authors, while rows marked “Trusted creator only” are reserved for Trusted Creators.

When you claim a Wishlist topic, it is added to your labs as a draft tagged WISHLIST TOPIC with a countdown showing when it reopens.

If you release your claim or it lapses, the topic becomes available for other authors to claim.

A qualifying Wishlist submission may receive:

• Priority review within 3 days
• A 25% rate uplift if approved
• Double bounty reward tier credit when the submission meets the Wishlist eligibility rules described above

These benefits are subject to applicable UGC and promotional rules and do not automatically stack with other bounty promotions.

Program Guidelines & Conditions

• Bounty boosts apply only to Grimoire submissions that meet approval standards.
• Machine (Attack/Defense) / Regular submissions do not count toward tier progression and do not receive tier bounty boosts.
• Bonuses are non-stackable with other bounty-based reward promos.
• The program will not run concurrently with all existing incentives; bonuses cannot overlap on a single submission.
• Qualifying Grimoire submissions must be submitted through the UGC Creator Platform and must complete the standard UGC review and approval process before they can count toward progression under this program.

• Submission quality is always the baseline requirement. Quantity without quality will not qualify.

  Monthly Cycle:

  • The submission count starts fresh at the beginning of each month.
  • All approved Grimoire submissions during that month contribute toward the tier count.
  • The count resets automatically at the start of the next month, and the incentive begins again.

The monthly reset applies only to Tiered Author Rewards Program bounty progression. It does not automatically reset your Creator Platform tier as shown in the UGC Creator Platform.

Contributor Communication

• Authors will be notified by email when they unlock a new bounty reward tier.
• Bonus bounty payments will be communicated and processed upon approval of the next qualifying Grimoire submission.
• Authors can use the Lab Creator Dashboard in the UGC Creator Platform to track submission status and review feedback from the UGC team.
