It is designed for learners enrolled in the CyberCore - Security Essentials (SEC-100) independent course, but the content is equally relevant for those accessing Security Essentials through a Learn Unlimited or Learn Enterprise subscription.

Quick Introduction to Security Essentials
Here is a short video to get you familiarized with the Security Essential content inside the Offsec Learning Library:
Training Materials
Once your CyberCore course has started, you can access the online training materials and labs via your Learning Library control panel.
To access the essentials content:
- Go to the 'Explore button' located at the top left of the page.
- Select "Course" menu.
- Click SEC-100 and you will land on the Training Materials page presenting you the learning modules.
- Select the module you wish to read.
- You can now start and enjoy your learning journey.
Alternatively, you can access the 'Courses' section by navigating to 'Explore' in the left-hand menu, or you can directly search for the course using the search bar.

Lab Information
We offer two ways of connecting to the OffSec labs:
Connecting through in-browser Kali
If you are eager to start right away and wish to save the time of downloading and installing the Kali VMware image and/or the VPN connectivity package, you can use the in-browser Kali option for any of the Essentials content.'
You can complete most of the introductory content by using the in-browser Kali instance. For more information on in-browser Kali check our Understanding in-browser Kali FAQ.
Connecting through VPN
To download your VPN connectivity package, click the VPN button at the left hand navigation to start your download. The Universal VPN can be used to access any module labs.

Scheduling an Exam
To secure your desired exam date, schedule your exam as soon as possible, particularly if you prefer weekend testing. You have up to three opportunities to reschedule before locking in a specific date and time. For detailed instructions on scheduling, rescheduling, and checking exam expiration dates, please reference the How to manage your OSCC Exam article.
