How long are products valid for?
Products purchased via our training consultants are generally valid for 12 months from the moment they are issued. During this period, you can activate products by sending an invitation to yourself or your team members. Once the invitation is accepted, access to the product will begin immediately unless an alternative start date was agreed upon prior to sending the invitation.
For Cybercore, however, the product is valid for 3 months from the date of purchase. Be mindful to activate and begin access within this timeframe to ensure you have sufficient usage time.
If you are inviting yourself to a product and select the ‘Let access start upon invitation redemption’ option, the invitation will be accepted automatically, and access will start instantly. Please refresh your page to view the new product. If you prefer to start at a later date, choose the ‘Set a course material access date’ option when assigning the product to yourself.
If you have purchased subscriptions previously and are now adding more licenses, the new licenses will be co-termed with your original order, meaning the 12-month validity may be adjusted accordingly. You can view the validity of your products through your Organization Admin account.
How can I check my products validity?
Follow the steps below to see your available products and their expiration date:
- Log into your organization's admin account in the Offsec Training Library.
- Navigate to the 'Admin Console' on the left side menu.
- Click “Licenses”, find the product you wish to learn about and click on it.
The expiration date of your license(s) will be written on the End Date column.
If the End Date column is empty, your product has expired. Switch to the Expired licenses tab to see information on your expired products.
How long is a subscription invitation link valid for?
Subscriptions start running from the moment you have completed your order (unless otherwise agreed with the Sales representative), as such, we recommend logging in to your Organization Admin account and distributing the licenses as soon as possible. The invitations you issue can be accepted by the learners until the moment the subscription is scheduled to end, however, the time that elapsed between the subscription start date and the moment the learner accepted the invitation will be forfeited by the learner.
Subscriptions issued via Flex start running the moment the invitation is redeemed by the learner if the access is set to start upon invitation redemption. A start date can also be set by the admin when sending the course invitation and the selected date will be visible in the invitation email. Admins may choose a start date within the Flex validity period. Learners can redeem their invitation until one of the events described below occurs:
- the Flex fund expired
- there have been more than 12 months since the invitation was issued.
How long is a product invitation link valid for?
For products purchased using Flex funds—such as an OffSec Course & Certification Exam Bundle, CyberCore - Security Essentials, Lab Extension, Exam Retake, Standalone OffSec Certification Exam, or OffSec Recertification Exam—the invitation link remains valid as long as the Flex funds are active.
When assigning a Course Bundle, CyberCore, or Subscription, an admin may set a specific start date. Be sure to check the invitation email, as it will include any set start date.
For products purchased using a credit card, debit card, or net terms, invitation links are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
Access to the product begins once the learner accepts the invitation for a Lab Extension, Exam Retake, Standalone OffSec Certification Exam, or OffSec Recertification Exam. For Course Bundle and CyberCore invitations, access also begins upon acceptance unless a start date was selected by the admin.
Can I reassign a product or a license?
Individual products (Course & Cert Exam Bundle, CyberCore - Security Essentials, Lab Extension, Exam Retake, Standalone OffSec Certification Exam, or OffSec Recertification Exam) cannot be reassigned once the learner has gained access to them.
A subscription license such as the Learn Fundamentals, Learn one and Learn Unlimited may be re-assigned once in the subscription year provided that the eligibility criteria is met.
Learn Enterprise subscription licenses are reassignable and can be managed by by full admins or sub-admins through their enterprise products dashboard. Please refer to the steps outlined here for guidance.
