Course Content and Access
Does CyberCore include videos?
Yes, but only select modules include video content, based on the learning objectives.
Can I download course materials?
No, CyberCore does not offer downloadable materials. Course content is accessible online as long as your access is active.
Are there hands-on labs in CyberCore?
Yes! CyberCore includes hands-on labs and short-answer questions to reinforce learning and test your skills.
Is a VPN required for the labs?
No, a VPN is not required. Learners can connect to the labs using VPN or KiB (Kali in Browser).

Can I purchase CyberCore (SEC-100 or SJD-100) for myself?
Yes! You can purchase CyberCore directly through the OffSec Learning Platform:

How can I purchase CyberCore licenses to assign to my team?
To purchase CyberCore licenses, you have the following options:

Exam Information
What is the validity period for the OSCC exam attempts?
The two OSCC exam attempts in the CyberCore package are valid only during your 1-year course access period. It's important to be aware that once the course access concludes, any remaining associated exam attempts also expire.
Can I purchase OSCC exam retakes?
If you purchased CyberCore independently, you are eligible to purchase an independent exam retake for the taken course in the event that you exhaust your exam attempts or if you fail to schedule your exam before the attempts expire.
If you get access to the course through a Learn Unlimited or Learn Enterprise subscription, regrettably, an exam retake is not available. You will be able to take the exam if you purchase or are assigned the course through CyberCore. For additional information, please refer here.
Is the OSCC exam proctored?
Yes, the OSCC exam is fully proctored and lasts 6 hours.
Does the OSCC exam have a cool-off period?

I have a Learn Unlimited subscription, can I purchase OSCC exam retakes after my subscription expires?
No, OSCC exam retakes are not available once your Learn Unlimited subscription expires. While your Learn Unlimited subscription is active, you enjoy unlimited exam attempts until certification success or until the subscription period ends. Retakes are only available to those who purchased or were assigned the course through CyberCore.
I have an active Learn Enterprise subscription, how can I take the OSCC certification exam?
Learn Enterprise only includes unlimited access to all of our online learning contents and access to OffSec Cyber Range. In order to take the OSCC certification exam, you will need to purchase or be assigned with CyberCore or Learn Enterprise exam.
Access and Permissions
I do not have time to dedicate to my studies now, can I pause my SEC-100 or SJD-100 access?
No, once the course has started, the access to the course content will run in a consecutive block of time which cannot be paused for any reason.
Does CyberCore renew each year?
No, CyberCore is not a subscription and does not auto-renew.
Can I upgrade CyberCore to a Course & Cert Exam Bundle or any Learn subscriptions?
No, there is currently no upgrade path for CyberCore to Course & Cert Exam Bundle or any Learn subscriptions.
I have an active Learn Unlimited subscription, do I have access to SEC-100 and SJD-100?
Yes! Learn Unlimited includes CyberCore contents and unlimited OSCC exam attempts while your subscription is active.
Can SEC-100 or SJD-100 be selected as a course option for Learn One subscription or Course & Cert Exam Bundle?
No, SEC-100 and SJD-100 are available as course options through CyberCore only.
I have an active Learn Enterprise subscription, do I have access to SEC-100 and SJD-100?
Yes, the CyberCore content (SEC-100, SJD-100) is included in the Learn Enterprise subscription. You’re able to access the contents while your subscription is active.
Can I select a start date when purchasing CyberCore for myself?
Yes, you can select a course start date within six weeks of your purchase. If you initially choose a future start date, you can modify it through your Course page in the OffSec Learning Platform before your access begins.
Courses in the OffSec Learning Library offer flexibility, allowing you to start on any day of the week. If you select today’s date, your lab access will begin immediately and run for a consecutive block of time.
I enrolled in the SEC-100 or SJD-100, how can I access the course?
To access the course, please go through the following steps:
- Log into your account at: https://portal.offsec.com/sign-in.
- Click on the ‘Explore’ button located at the upper left of the page.
- Select Courses from the options.
- Click ‘SEC-100 or SJD-100’ and you will land on the ‘Overview’ tab.
- Click any of the modules from the "Syllabus" tab or any video from the Videos tab to go through the course. Alternatively, you can access the 'Courses' section by navigating to 'Explore' in the left-hand menu, or you can directly search for the course using the search bar.
Am I able to purchase a lab extension after my CyberCore course ends?
No, lab extensions are not available for CyberCore.
As an admin, can I assign CyberCore to my team using my available Flex credits?
Absolutely! You can assign CyberCore to any of your team members using valid Flex credits.
As an admin, can I reassign CyberCore course to someone else after it has been activated?
No, once the course has started, it cannot be reassigned to anyone else.
I have purchased the SEC-100 or SJD-100 via your training consultants, how can I access the course content?

Can multiple individuals share the same CyberCore access?
CyberCore is purchased on a per individual user basis. Login credentials may not be shared among individuals, groups, teams or with third parties. A breach of the foregoing is a material breach of the Terms. Similar to learners who share their course materials, learners who share their login credentials will receive a lifetime ban from any future courses or offerings by OffSec and may even have their certification(s) revoked. Depending on the nature of the offense, learners may also face legal repercussions.
Does my OSCC-SEC or OSCC-SJD certification expire?
Yes, the OSCC-SEC or OSCC-SJD certification expires after 3 years.
To maintain the validity of your certification consider one of the following renewal options before the expiration date:
- Pass a Qualifying Exam: Take and pass an OffSec certification exam within the same category at the same level or higher before your certification expires.
- Recertification Exam: Take and pass a recertification exam within six months before your certification’s expiration date to extend validity.
- Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Program. You may refer to the CPE handbook for more information.
Please note that if your certification expires, you will need to retake and pass the same certification exam.
