Exam Information
What is the validity period for the exam attempts as part of the purchased SEC-100 course?
OSCC exam attempts as part of the purchased SEC-100 course are valid until the end date of course access. It's important to be aware that once the course access concludes, any remaining associated exam attempts also expire.
Am I able to purchase OSCC exam retakes?
If you enrolled in the SEC-100 course independently, you are eligible to purchase an independent exam retake in the event that you exhaust your exam attempts or if you fail to schedule your exam before the attempts expire.
If you get access to the course through a Learn Unlimited or Learn Enterprise subscription, regrettably, an exam retake is not available. You will be able to take the exam if you purchase or are assigned the SEC-100 course. For additional information, please refer here.
Is the OSCC exam proctored?
Yes, the OSCC exam is proctored and the duration of the exam is 6 hours.
Does the OSCC exam have a cool-off period?
Learners who are enrolled in the SEC-100 course may schedule and reattempt an exam as follows:
- After the 1st failed exam, a learner may schedule an exam retake after 4 weeks from their previous exam date.
- After the 2nd failed exam, a learner may schedule an exam retake after 8 weeks from their previous exam date.
- After the 3rd failed exam onward, a learner may schedule an exam retake after 12 weeks from their previous exam date.

No, OSCC exam retakes are not available once your Learn Unlimited subscription expires. While your Learn Unlimited subscription is active, you enjoy unlimited exam attempts until certification success or until the subscription period ends. Retakes are only available to those who purchased or were assigned the SEC-100 course.
I have an active Learn Enterprise subscription, how can I take the OSCC certification exam?
Learn Enterprise only includes unlimited access to all of our online learning contents and access to OffSec Cyber Range. In order to take the OSCC certification exam, you will need to purchase or be assigned with the SEC-100 course.

I do not have time to dedicate to my studies now, can I pause my SEC-100 access?
No, once the SEC-100 course has started, the access to the course content will run in a consecutive block of time which cannot be paused for any reason.
Does the SEC-100 course renew each year?
No, the SEC-100 course is not a subscription and does not renew annually.
Can SEC-100 be upgraded to a Course & Cert Exam Bundle or any Learn subscriptions?

When I purchase the SEC-100 course, when does my access to my course start?
If you purchase the SEC-100 course, you can choose a course start date within the next six weeks from the purchase date. You can modify the start date via your Course page in the OffSec Learning Platform before your access begins if you initially picked a future start date. Courses in the OffSec Learning Library are flexible, starting on any day of the week. Opting for today's date as your start initiates your lab immediately in a consecutive block of time
I enrolled in the SEC-100, how can I access the course?
To access the course, please go through the following steps:

Can multiple individuals share the same SEC-100 access?
SEC-100 is purchased on a per individual user basis. Login credentials may not be shared among individuals, groups, teams or with third parties. A breach of the foregoing is a material breach of the Terms. Similar to learners who share their course materials, learners who share their login credentials will receive a lifetime ban from any future courses or offerings by OffSec and may even have their certification(s) revoked. Depending on the nature of the offense, learners may also face legal repercussions.
Does my OSCC certification expire?
Yes, the OSCC certification expires after 3 years.
